We praise God that Ketrah, our Ugandan project leader, has safely had a baby girl Deborah! While she is on maternity leave a new postgrad called Rachel is helping Steven and Solome in the Karis office.
Our Ugandan team are busy this month registering children into school ready to start the new academic year there. We are also sending some of our teenagers to the diocesan run WEC vocational training centre who we’re partnering with to provide further training for some of our Karis Kids. They’ll be studying hairdressing, catering, tailoring and welding.
We are now supporting nearly 500 children in 79 families.
We welcome on board the Downs benefice in Hampshire who are becoming partnered with St Pauls church serving Ovuvu slum area.
